King awarded Association of Division III Independents women’s volleyball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The College of New Rochelle senior outside hitter Meghan King (New City, N.Y.) has been tabbed the Association of Division III Independents women's volleyball Player of the Week. King capped a strong 4-0 week by helping The College of New Rochelle capture the HVIAC Tournament Championship, earning Tournament MVP honors in the process. The senior slammed home 50 kills while hitting at a .342 clip to pace the Blue Angels. The outside hitter began the week with a school record breaking .593 hitting percentage in a Senior Night win over Albertus Magnus, connecting on 16 kills without committing an error. In the HVIAC Tournament, King helped CNR repeat as champions, recording 25 kills for the top-seeded Blue Angels, who increased their school record win total to 25-7.
