Walsh awarded Association of Division III Independents women’s volleyball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Nebraska Wesleyan University senior outside hitter Katelyn Walsh (Jefferson, S.D.) has been tabbed the Association of Division III Independents women's volleyball Player of the Week. Walsh had 34 total kills as Nebraska Wesleyan posted a pair of victories on the week over Doane and Morningside. The senior averaged 3.4 kills per set with a .346 hitting percentage to lead the Prairie Wolves in kills in both matches. The outside hitter also added 16 digs with two blocks as NWU completed the regular season with a 22-6 record. With her two big performances, Walsh moved into the NWU career top 10 list for career kills with 1,080.
