Grauzinis awarded Association of Division III Independents women’s volleyball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Illinois Institute of Technology senior outside hitter Irena Grauzinis (St. Charles, Ill.) has been tabbed the Association of Division III Independents women's volleyball Player of the Week. The senior ended the week with 70 kills in Illinois Tech's three matches this week to go along with 38 digs and four blocks. Grauzinis recorded 20 or more kills in all three matches and had ten or more digs in two of the three matches. The outside hitter finished with 25 kills and 19 digs in the Scarlet Hawks' five-set victory at St. Louis Pharmacy on Saturday. The senior concluded the week with 25 kills and 11 digs against Robert Morris-Springfield. Grauzinis ended the week with 5.38 kills per set and 2.92 digs per set and leads the Association with 364 kills on the year.
