Bueltel awarded Association of Division III Independents women’s volleyball Student-Athlete of the Month

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Maranatha Baptist University senior middle blocker Alexis Bueltel (Stephenson, Mich.) has been tabbed the Association of Division III Independents women's volleyball Student-Athlete of the Month for October. Bueltel had a strong month for the Sabercats, ending the month with 137 kills, 103 digs and 39 blocks in 11 matches. The middle blocker recorded double-digit kills in seven of the 11 matches and had ten or more digs in four matches. The senior had a month-high 24 kills and 18 digs at Lakeland on October 21st and concluded the month with 16 kills and ten digs in a three-set win over Rockford on October 26th. Bueltel recently followed her strong month of October with an NCCAA All-Regional Player of the Year award and helped lead the Sabercats to their seven regional championship in the last eight years.
