Devlin Named Association of Division III Independents Female Student-Athlete of the Month for October

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Association of Division III Independents named University of California Santa Cruz cross country student-athlete Caitlin Devlin its Female Student-Athlete of the Month for the month October.

Devlin is a senior from Elk Grove, California. The cross country stalwart was twice named AD3I Cross Country Athlete of the Week, finishing in 9th place out of 192 runners at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational on October 3rd with a time of 22:14 in the 6k race. The senior then went on to win the Bronco Invitational on October 17th, finishing atop a field of 164 runners with a time of 21:33 in the 6k race. The first place finish helped lead the Banana Slugs to a first place team finish out of 17 teams and the senior's performance made her the second fastest Banana Slug ever.
