OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Illinois Institute of Technology sophomore Peter Upham (Concord, Mass.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents baseball Player of the Week. Upham started all three games in the corner outfield and was a force at the plate. The sophomore hit .556 (5-for-9) with a home run, five RBI, two runs scored, a .636 OBP and a 1.000 slugging percentage. Upham hit a three-run homer in the Scarlet Hawks' opening win against Beloit, accounting for three of the team's four RBI in the game. In game one against MCLA, the outfielder hit a go-ahead RBI double in the top of the eighth after driving in a run on a single earlier in the game. The sophomore also went 1-for-2 in game two against MCLA with a run scored.
