Harris receives Association of Division III Independents men’s basketball Player of the Week award

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The College of New Rochelle sophomore guard Elijah Harris (Flushing, N.Y.) has been awarded the Association of Division III Independents men's basketball Player of the Week. Harris averaged 24.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game as the Blue Angels went 3-0 on the week. The sophomore opened the week with 26 points on 9-of-14 shooting in New Rochelle's victory over John Jay on January 30th. The guard capped off the week with 22 points in the Blue Angels' triumph over Valley Forge on Saturday. Harris shot 53.3 percent from the field and is averaging 13.9 points per game on the year.
