OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – UC Santa Cruz sophomore Paul Colosi (Corralitos, Calif.) has been chosen as the Association of Division III Independents men's cross country Student-Athlete of the Month for October. Colosi finished in sixth place out of 155 runners at the Santa Clara/Bronco Invitational on October 14th. The sophomore posted a time of 25:16.1 in the 8K race and helped lead UC Santa Cruz to a first-place team finish. Colosi set the pace for a school-record team time with four runners finishing under 26 minutes in the 8K race. It was the fastest time of the season for the sophomore who qualified for the NCAA Championships last year.
