OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Nebraska Wesleyan University senior center Sadie Struebing (Brainard, Neb.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women's basketball Player of the Week. Struebing recorded back-to-back double-doubles in two NWU victories, helping the Prairie Wolves start the season 5-0 for just the second time in school history. She averaged 20 points and 11 rebounds in two games. In the GPAC opener at No. 21 Hastings, Struebing tied a career-high with 24 points and pulled down 11 rebounds leading the NWU women to their first ever win at Hastings, and snapping a 20-game losing streak to the Broncos. She also added 16 points and 11 boards in a win over Chapman and shot 58.6% (17-of-29) from the floor on the week.
