Brandon receives Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week award

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The College of New Rochelle freshman center Jasmin Brandon (Jersey City, N.J.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women's basketball Player of the Week. In her first collegiate season, Brandon is averaging nearly a double-double with team-highs of 14.0 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, despite playing just under 23 minutes a contest. Brandon was named to the All-Tournament team at the CNR Blue Angel Tip-Off Tournament after averaging 15.0 points and 7.0 rebounds over the two games. In the championship match against Albertus Magnus College, she produced 22 points and seven boards in 25 minutes of action. Against John Jay College, she tallied a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds and also added four blocks and two steals.
