Ross named Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Maranatha Baptist University senior forward Stacie Ross (Wyoming, Mich.) has been selected the Association of Division III Independents women's basketball Player of the Week. In two games this week, Ross averaged 20.0 points per game on 61.3 percent shooting from the field, guiding her team to a 1-1 record, with a win against Kuyper College on Saturday in the NCCAA Tip-Off Tournament. The senior also averaged 10.0 rebounds per game and secured a double-double against Kuyper with 14 points and 11 rebounds in the Sabercats 61-48 win. The forward's best game of the week came against Grace Bible where she scored 26 points on 12-for-18 shooting and secured nine rebounds, three steals and two blocks.
