OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The College of New Rochelle junior guard DarNeisha Brice (California, Md.) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents women's basketball Student-Athlete of the Month for January. Brice posted averages of 17.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game in a 6-3 month for the Blue Angels. The junior scored in double digits in seven of the nine games and had one double-double. The guard had a month-high 32 points and 11 rebounds in a victory over CCNY on January 13th. Brice also recorded 28 points in an 81-76 victory over SUNY Delhi on January 11th and netted 23 points against Davis on January 18th. The one-time Player of the Week during the month currently ranks third in the Association with 16.0 points per game.
