OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Illinois Institute of Technology senior goalkeeper Roxanne Myers (Camarillo, Calif.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women's soccer Player of the Week. Myers had an outstanding opening week in net for Illinois Tech ending the week with 30 saves and allowing just two goals in the Scarlet Hawks' three matches. The senior opened up the week with a 14-save performance against Benedictine before stopping eight shots in the Scarlet Hawks' 1-0 win over Trine on September 4th. Myers capped off the week with another eight-save outing against Adrian on Labor Day. The goalkeeper ended the week with an impressive 0.67 goals against average and a .938 save percentage.
