Hansel awarded Association of Division III Independents women’s volleyball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Maranatha Baptist University sophomore outside hitter Claire Hansel (Watertown, Wis.) has been tabbed the Association of Division III Independents women's volleyball Player of the Week. Hansel recorded two double-doubles on the week, including a week-high 16 kills at North Central on Saturday. The sophomore added 15 digs in the match and hit .357. The outside hitter also produced 14 kills and 22 digs against Beloit on Tuesday and finished one kill shy of another double-double against Anderson with nine kills and 13 digs. On the week, the sophomore recorded 46 kills, 60 digs, five blocks and was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Tiffany Robinson Memorial Tournament.
