Hansel awarded Association of Division III Independents women’s volleyball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Maranatha Baptist University sophomore outside hitter Claire Hansel (Watertown, Wis.) has been tabbed the Association of Division III Independents women's volleyball Player of the Week. The sophomore averaged 4.07 kills, 2.36 digs and hit .255 in a 2-2 week for the Sabercats. Hansel recorded 57 kills and 33 digs on the week, including a double-double with 15 kills and 14 digs in a win over Central (Iowa) on Saturday. The outside hitter had a week-high 18 kills at Wisconsin Lutheran on Friday and was named to the Wisconsin Lutheran Invitational All-Tournament Team for her performance in the four matches.
